Welcome to the home page of The Arts Society Bromley.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a society of 200 plus men and women who are interested and involved in the world of the Fine Arts.

Every month from October to June we have illustrated talks given by expert lecturers on a wide variety of topics like painting, sculpture, furniture, porcelain, jewellery.

We enjoy social events, outings and tours in this country and abroad which are stimulating and fun.  Our work for Young Arts Projects is an important part of our society

We have the reputation of being a friendly group - you are welcome to come and find out for yourself!

WHAT IS THE ARTS SOCIETY?

We are one of three local societies affiliated to The Arts Society which is a leading arts charity whose aims include :

  • Opening the world of the arts through lectures
  • Encouraging arts projects for young people in schools through Young Arts
  • Helping to preserve our heritage through voluntary work (with training if appropriate) in churches, museums, stately homes, archives, etc.

DATE AND TIME ALTERATION

The next lecture will be on Monday, 16 December. The title of David Wright's lecture:  A Brief Story of Wine. Lecture takes place in the Great Hall, Civic Centre, Bromley. Doors open 2.00pm for 3.00pm start.
 

Please join us for wine and mince pies after the lecture!  Visitors are welcome - entry £5.00

FOR SALE

The laptop which was previously used by the society is now no longer required and therefore we can offer it for sale.

The model is an ACER Extensa 5235 with a 15.6 inch screen size, Intel Celeron, 1GB memory, DVD drive, Word 2010 and PowerPoint 2010 are also included.

I shall bring it with me to the next meeting on Monday 7 October where you can see it for yourselves and I’ll be on hand to answer any questions.
